Apache Stainless Equipment Corporation, a custom manufacturer of high-quality commercial industrial equipment, is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the design-to-installation lifecycle for cost-effective solutions. You will collaborate with sales, operations, purchasing, and CAD teams to drive compliant, reliable products.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, strong project management, CAD experience (AutoCAD/SolidWorks), and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

  • Minimum B.S. in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Strong familiarity with Engineering and Design standards; relevant industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design-to-installation phases from quoting to start-up.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, purchasing, and CAD teams.
  • Drive cost-effective, reliable solutions meeting customer needs.
  • Support quality with root cause analysis of cost of quality; resolve service issues; travel as required.

Job description

Position Responsibilities

Specifying a cost effective and reliable solution to meet or exceed the objective of the associated application Work closely with sales as a consultative selling partner to assist in converting the quote to an order Perform product design functions in the appropriate CAD software Ensure all designs are code compliant (when required), and all required documentation is provided Obtain customer approvals for drawings and designs when appropriate Work closely with operations management and shop floor personnel to ensure efficient manufacture of related products Work closely with Purchasing to specify purchased products within the guidelines of set standards and work in partnership in the coordination of any necessary 3rd party vendor partners Work closely with CAD in an advisory role during the Process Engineering phase to prepare sub-components and components for manufacture Support quality in the tracking and root cause analysis of any Cost of Quality measurements Take a lead role in the timely resolution of any customer service / field service issues Other duties as required Travel as required

Required Skills/Abilities

Requires the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization Excellent Project Management skills required Ability to multi-task, managing a wide variety of priorities simultaneously Strong multi-faceted engineering aptitude, with mechanical engineering skills a requirement Highly computer literate, with experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs and ERP Experienced with CAD software, ideally AutoCAD and Solid Works Excellent written & verbal communication skills are required

Experience/Education

Minimum B.S. in Engineering degree from an accredited university Strong familiarity with Engineering and Design standards Relevant industry experience is a definite plus, but not required

The Project Engineer has primary responsibility for leveraging Apache’s portfolio of products and services into a cost effective, reliable solution that meets or exceeds the needs of the customer. The Project Engineer takes the lead in the design and development of the project from the quoting stage all the way thru equipment installation and start-up.
