Step into a pivotal leadership role at the forefront of Europe’s renewable energy transformation. As Project Director, you will oversee the effective execution of utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) farm construction projects, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and strategic portfolio management for one of the most dynamic companies in the sector.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-impact PV investments across Europe, maintaining cost control, and ensuring compliance with agreed scope and schedules. You’ll lead a talented team of Project Managers, set the standard for project execution, and represent the company with clients and partners at the highest level.

What You’ll Do

Project Execution Oversight:

• Take ownership of projects post-business development, ensuring EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) delivery across multiple European countries—on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Monitor portfolio performance, manage interdependencies, and drive issue resolution with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers across Europe.
• Set clear targets, conduct performance reviews, and foster a culture of accountability and high performance.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, logistics, legal, and construction teams.
• Ensure seamless handovers and contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Uphold the highest standards for quality, health & safety, and technical excellence.
• Identify and mitigate risks, track KPIs, and lead project reviews.

Executive & Client-Level Communication:

• Report project status and outcomes to the CEO and executive leadership.
• Support Project Managers in client communications and represent the company during key project phases.

What We’re Looking For

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years in utility-scale PV project delivery, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role (Project Director, Head of Delivery, Senior PM) in the EPC sector
• Proven track record managing multiple complex construction projects across Europe
• Strong experience building and leading high-performing project teams
• Strategic thinker with hands-on execution abilities
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills
• Results-driven, with a high degree of ownership and accountability
• Fluent in reading and interpreting technical and contractual documentation

Education:

• University degree in a technical field (Electrical Engineering, Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or similar)
• Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA) and/or an MBA are a plus

Mobility:

• Willingness to travel frequently across Europe
• Must have the right to work in the EU

Languages:

• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required
• Additional European languages are a plus
