Project Director / Principal Engineer – Healthcare

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid)

I'm working with a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy to appoint an experienced Project Director / Principal Engineer to help grow its Healthcare business across Texas.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a mechanical engineering professional who enjoys combining technical delivery with client development.

You'll play a key role in winning new work, leading major healthcare projects and helping to grow an established healthcare practice across the region.

The Role

• Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering complex healthcare and hospital projects.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with healthcare clients and industry partners.
• Win new business while growing existing client accounts.
• Oversee project delivery, commercial performance and quality.
• Act as Lead Engineer or Engineer of Record on major projects.
• Mentor and develop engineering teams across the business.
• Champion innovative and sustainable healthcare design solutions.

About You

You’ll ideally have:

• 15+ years' experience delivering healthcare projects within a consulting engineering environment.
• A Mechanical or Architectural Engineering degree.
• PE registration in Texas.
• Proven experience leading medium to large healthcare or hospital projects from concept through construction.
• Strong client relationship and business development experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication and project management skills.
