Job description

Talent Acquisition Partner at Ardith Rademacher & Associates, Inc.

We’re seeking an accomplished Project Director to lead multiple large-scale commercial construction projects across the greater Richmond region. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior construction leader with strong multifamily experience who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and enjoys balancing both leadership and client‑facing business development.

The Project Director will oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects while helping expand the company’s regional presence. This position combines leadership, operations, and business development responsibilities in a true seller/doer model.

You’ll collaborate with executive leadership and project teams to maintain operational excellence, ensure client satisfaction, and strengthen market position in multifamily, senior living, and student housing sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multiple construction projects concurrently, ensuring alignment with client goals, budgets, and schedules.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of project managers, superintendents, and support staff to promote growth, accountability, and performance.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership on strategic planning and execution.
  • Engage in client development and preconstruction efforts alongside internal teams.
  • Maintain and grow strong relationships with clients, architects, and trade partners to identify future project opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards across all active projects.
  • Support business development initiatives through market engagement and proposal efforts.
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience leading multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through completion (required).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to oversee multiple teams and complex projects.
  • Experience operating in a seller/doer capacity—comfortable with both client‑facing business development and internal execution.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on accountability, problem‑solving, and relationship‑building.
  • Consistent career progression with a reputation for stability and follow‑through.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This role offers the chance to make a direct impact within a growing regional office of a nationally respected general contractor. You’ll have the autonomy to lead, the support of a collaborative executive team, and the opportunity to help grow both the business and your career.

If you’re a results‑driven leader with a strong background in multifamily construction who enjoys mentoring teams, building client relationships, and delivering exceptional projects, we’d love to connect.
