Flintco is seeking a Project Director to oversee the overall management of complex projects in the Denver area, ensuring safety, budget adherence, and client satisfaction. This senior leadership role collaborates with Project Managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver on time and within scope.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a construction discipline and extensive experience in management, estimating, and scheduling.

Job Summary
The Project Director is responsible for overall management of the project. This position is accountable for managing a safe, effective, and efficient operation and adhering to the Company values, policies, and procedures. The Project Director may perform duties and responsibilities of other Company role descriptions (e.g., Project Manager) as required by the existence of certain circumstances (e.g., size and complexity of the project, availability of qualified management/engineering personnel, etc.). The Project Director works closely with Project Managers to ensure project teams, subcontractors and suppliers perform as contracted. The Project Director is accountable for the satisfaction of safety, clients and financial performance of their assigned business unit and assigned projects. This person contributes to business development and the ongoing development of the Company’s capability to compete in the marketplace. The Project Director works closely with and communicates openly with the Area Manager to ensure the success of the business unit.

The Project Director is an upper management position with authority for the operations and successful execution of multiple projects. All job functions shall be accomplished including practicing, instructing all subordinates in, and enforcing all OSHA safety requirements/guidelines, in addition to all company policies and procedures. The essential functions include but are not limited to:

Knowledge/Skills/Ability Ability to model the Flintco Ethos by representing to all people a level of integrity, pride, enthusiasm and competence that encourages the highest level of performance and morale; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, especially in providing direction to employees and communicating with architects, clients, subcontractors and third parties; ability to perform all duties and operational procedures utilizing company information technology systems; ability to understand and manage all aspects of construction contracting and operations; has a comprehensive knowledge of construction documents, roles & responsibilities of all parties, means & methods, bonds & insurance and risk management; ability to accurately forecast monthly project status reports. Advanced knowledge of the construction industry and specific client market required. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and writing, especially in providing written and oral instructions to employees and in communicating with clients, architects, and subcontractors. Must have organizational leadership skills, communications skills, and analytical skills. Must have ability to read and comprehend technical and statistical data, and interpret legal documents. Ability to lead large groups of personnel and to accomplish desired results through subordinate levels of management.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a Construction related discipline, Business Administration, Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
Extensive experience of progressively responsible experience in construction, management, estimating, scheduling and field personnel management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Flintco offers base compensation for the Denver area of $185,000 to $215,000 (Actual compensation may be affected by factors such as education, experience, skillset and/or location.)
