Job Description

Reporting to the VP of Project Development & Delivery, the Project Director is accountable for the successful delivery of large‑scale, mission‑critical data center and high‑voltage infrastructure projects across Texas. This role owns projects from late‑stage development through commissioning, with full responsibility for execution strategy, commercial outcomes, and operational readiness. This high‑impact leadership role requires a commercially astute operator who can navigate complexity, lead multidisciplinary teams, and consistently deliver at scale.

Job Requirements
  • 10+ years’ experience delivering large‑scale infrastructure or mission‑critical projects
  • Proven track record leading complex construction projects (data centers, energy, or similar)
  • Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting, contracts, and risk management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders across engineering, construction, and operations
  • Experience working in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred
  • Background in engineering or project management
  • Experience with high‑voltage infrastructure or data center builds
  • PMP or equivalent certification
Job Responsibilities
  • Own end‑to‑end delivery of multi‑million/billion‑dollar projects from pre‑construction through handover
  • Define and execute project strategy, including delivery model, contracting approach, and risk framework
  • Lead front‑end engineering, constructability alignment, and scope optimization
  • Drive contractor and partner performance across EPC, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Establish and enforce best‑in‑class project controls, reporting, and governance
  • Maintain full accountability for schedule, cost, risk, and quality outcomes
  • Lead capital planning, forecasting, and disciplined cost management
  • Identify and execute opportunities to accelerate delivery and enhance project returns
  • Build, lead, and scale high‑performing project teams aligned to growth pipeline
  • Serve as the senior point of contact for key stakeholders including utilities, authorities, and executive leadership
