NYC Parks is an award-winning City agency that builds and cares for public spaces for New Yorkers to connect, play, and enjoy. We manage over 30,000 acres of land, including more than 5,000 properties such as recreation centers, historic buildings, athletic fields, pools, arts spaces, beaches, and more.

Major Responsibilities
  1. Perform analytical and administrative work for Staten Island Operations under supervision, with some independence.
  2. Collaborate with Deputy Chiefs, Chief of Operations, and Division Leaders.
  3. Monitor sector performance using data from parks systems like AMPS and Daily Tasks, maintaining bi-weekly data tracking.
  4. Create reports and present findings.
  5. Assist field staff with data utilization and troubleshoot technical issues.
  6. Manage special projects and serve as a liaison to other divisions and city agencies.
  7. Support training initiatives, record-keeping, and report compilation.
  8. Supervise daily operations of the Staten Island M&O office and oversee staff activities.

Minimum Qualifications
  1. Baccalaureate degree and two years of related community work experience; or
  2. High school diploma/equivalent and six years of related experience; or
  3. Equivalent education/experience, with at least one year of experience as described above.
Preferred Skills
  • Excellent administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills.
  • Experience maintaining databases and generating reports.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Tableau, GIS, and SQL.
