Your work will directly support the deployment of clean energy solutions for some of the most influential organizations in the country—while learning from experienced developers and gaining exposure across the full project lifecycle. At TotalEnergies, analysis turns into action, and your contributions make a tangible impact.

Help Power the Energy Transition—One Project at a Time

TotalEnergies Renewables USA is accelerating the growth of distributed solar and energy storage across the country—and we’re looking for a Project Development Analyst to bring impactful, customer‑driven projects to life. In this role, you’ll work at the heart of our commercial development engine, supporting 20–25 projects per year for large customers including Fortune 500 companies, institutional clients, and public sector organizations. You’ll blend technical analysis, financial modeling, policy research, and creative problem‑solving to turn early‑stage opportunities into executed contracts. If you’re analytical, curious, and excited to see your work directly enable real‑world clean energy projects, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do
Develop Solar & Storage Projects
  • Support the development of commercial & industrial solar and energy storage projects from initial lead through booking and contract execution.
  • Evaluate customer goals, site conditions, and utility data to determine project feasibility and optimal system design.
Technical & Financial Analysis
  • Use industry‑leading tools like Helioscope, Aurora, PVsyst, PVSim, and Energy Toolbase to size systems and evaluate performance.
  • Build and refine financial models (cash sale, lease, PPA, and other structures) to maximize customer value and project returns.
  • Value‑engineer solutions to optimize project economics and competitiveness.
Market, Policy & Incentives Research
  • Research incentives, tariffs, tax structures, building codes, and market‑specific policies.
  • Support new market entry with policy analysis and regulatory insights.
  • Identify and apply incentives that improve project profitability.
Collaboration & Deal Execution
  • Partner daily with Business Development, Project Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and O&M teams.
  • Support post‑award activities including contracts, handoff to execution teams, and ongoing deal optimization.
  • Help improve internal processes, templates, and analytics tools critical to commercial success.
Data‑Driven Problem Solving
  • Perform data analytics to support pipeline decisions, pricing strategies, and customer offerings.
  • Manage multiple active opportunities while adapting to shifting priorities.
What you Bring?
  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record.
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills, including advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills—you collaborate easily and think clearly.
  • A growth mindset and eagerness to learn new tools, markets, and technologies.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.
  • Positive, humble, team‑oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, as needed.
