Daikin Applied Ltd. is seeking a Project Developer in Tampa, FL, offering a hybrid work arrangement. The role develops scope, schedules, and budgets for customer proposals, collaborating with sales, customers, and project managers to scope, estimate, and secure projects.

You will prepare subcontractor proposals, review progress, adjust plans, and ensure timely delivery. Strong HVAC design, controls experience, and MS Project proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in mechanical contracting.
• Mechanical systems layout and design experience.
• HVAC systems and controls experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop all aspects of the scope, project development schedule, and costs for the customer proposal.
• Coordinate with sales team, customers, and project manager to scope, estimate, and sell the project.
• Create, analyze, and negotiate sub-contractor proposals to meet contract requirements.
• Consult with project management staff to outline work plan, delegate duties, and scope of authority.
• Review and adjust status reports, modify schedules, and generate tasks, estimates, milestones as needed.
• Create cost estimates for HVAC piping and sheet metal improvements.
• Develop project schedules using MS Project or MS Excel to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Plan and conduct client, project, and internal meetings ensuring clear communication.
• Analyze system types and craft conceptual designs for HVAC systems.
• Balance multiple development projects with subcontractors to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Maintain subcontractor relationships and ensure safety/compliance.
• Forecast cost, time, and customer satisfaction at project completion.
