Job summary

Rapt Studio in San Francisco is seeking a Project Designer to work on multiple scale projects, balancing design vision with precise execution. You will contribute to concept development, documentation, and collaborative design processes across interiors and architecture.

The role requires strong visualization, a collaborative mindset, and experience through construction. This position is onsite/hybrid, with three days in the studio and flexible project-driven in-office presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• 4–8+ years of experience at an architecture or design studio.
• Experience taking projects from concept design through construction.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Familiarity with project management, construction administration, budget review, building codes, consultant coordination, and client relations.
• Ability to develop construction documents for review.
• Ability to work with furniture vendors to manage process and deliveries.
• Proficiency in 3D visualization.
• State licensure or pursuing licensure encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop project concepts from early design through construction documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams and clients to meet design goals.
• Produce construction documents and detailing.
• Coordinate with vendors and consultants as needed.
• Contribute to the studio's creative process and output.
