Job summary

HGA is seeking a Project Designer to join the Community + Live, Workplace & Government practice in Santa Monica. You will develop design solutions, lead documentation, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams from concept through implementation.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, strong BIM and rendering skills, and an architectural license is preferred. This on-site position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from an accredited institution.
• 8+ years of experience on small to large-scale projects.
• Expertise in Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and other BIM technologies.
• Strong 2D and 3D graphic skills; proficiency in rendering and visualization tools.
• Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Architecture licensed preferred and interest in LEED sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Develop design drawings, sketches, and 3D models.
• Coordinate building design consultants and monitor drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in project documentation and design narratives for client presentations.
• Manage design coordination meetings, schedules, and milestones.
• Perform construction administration duties (RFIs, RFPs, changes).
