Job summary

Frasch is seeking a full-time Project Designer in Grand Prairie, TX to create 3D CAD models and detailed submittal drawings for client approval. The role supports new product development, with emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and collaboration with engineering teams.

You will design in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, prepare production cut files, and help translate architectural blueprints into manufacturable parts while ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/industrial engineering or 3D design background.
• 4+ years of 3D product design using SolidWorks and 2D drafting with AutoCAD.
• CSWA or CSWP certification preferred.
• Adobe Suite proficiency preferred; experience in manufacturing is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office; strong teamwork and detail orientation.
• Analytical, organized, and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design 3D CAD models for new or existing products manufactured with acoustic materials.
• Engineer 2D programs for manufacturing use and production documentation.
• Prepare submittal drawings from 3D models and architectural blueprints.
• Create parametric 3D models in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Read Reflected Ceiling Plans and elevation drawings for accurate designs.
• Assist in resolving product-related customer issues and support NPD.
• Ensure projects stay on schedule and compliant with standards.
