Job summary

Blair, Church & Flynn seeks a Designer in Clovis to transform sketches, concept designs, and mark-ups into completed drawings and construction documents for infrastructure projects. You will contribute across project delivery, using CAD/BIM tools to produce details and specifications.

The role requires interpreting documents, following codes, and collaborating with peers and stakeholders to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• An associate degree or CAD certification preferred.
• Experience with a range of design and drafting software is expected.

Core Mission

Designersare responsible fortransformingsketches,conceptual designs,mark-upsandother pieces oftechnical informationintocompletedrawings,detailsand construction documentsfor a wide variety of projects involving engineering, architecture, landscapearchitectureand land surveying elements.Designers use their training, education, and experience to contribute to all stages of project delivery.

Requirements

• An associate degree or certification inindustrial design,landscape design, engineering or architecturalfundamentals, or computer-aided design (CAD) is preferred.

Skills & Understanding

• Proficiencywithdesignsoftware such as AutoCAD,Civil 3d, GIS,SolidWorks, Revit, SketchUpor Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to interpret construction documents and specifications.
• Ability to prepare comprehensive construction documents.
• Knowledge of drafting standards, building codes, and industry regulations.
• Capability to perform technical reviews, follow quality assuranceplansand execute quality control processes.
• Abilitytoproblem-solve,communicateand collaborate with peers and project stakeholders.

Expectations for the "PROJECT" Title

• Are established practitioners with consistent, competent and developing abilities across categories of project planning, technical aptitude and teamwork.
• Has at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Location

• This position is in person at the Clovis office location and requires local travel for meetings and site visits.
