The City of Seattle seeks a Project Delivery Manager to lead a new Project Delivery group within Facility Operations. The Facility Operations Division (FO) is establishing a new Project Delivery group within its Asset Planning section to strengthen FO’s internal project delivery capacity, ensure contracting compliance, improve audit readiness, and deliver small- to mid- level capital projects more efficiently.
The Project Delivery Manager (Manager 1, Property & Facility Management) will lead this new group, which consolidates FO’s small capital projects, consultant contracting, regulatory compliance programs, and technical project delivery into a single professional/technical unit. The Project Delivery Manager reports to the Asset Planning Manager and serves as FO’s internal project‑delivery lead, responsible for managing vendor‑performed work, consultant‑driven studies, compliance‑driven corrective actions, and energy/resource conservation projects. This role ensures FO uses correct procurement pathways, maintains audit‑ready documentation, and aligns project delivery with FO’s operational needs and Asset Planning systems.
The successful candidate brings experience in project delivery, Public Works contracting, consultant procurement, regulatory compliance, and facilities‑related capital work. They excel at building teams, coordinating with maintenance operations, and managing complex vendor‑performed projects in a public‑sector environment.
FAS is often the public's first interaction with the City of Seattle, operating as a customer‑focused front door that assists with everything from paying utilities or reporting a pothole to requesting public information or even adopting a new pet.
The 500-plus employees of FAS span across 10 divisions and work behind-the-scenes providing critical functions, like managing 120 City facilities—including police and fire stations—overseeing the City's neighborhood customer service centers and Customer Service Bureau and making sure minority‑owned businesses can equitably compete for City contracts. Experience to education equivalency:

This position requires a minimum of three days per week of on-site work and requires frequent travel to work sites throughout Seattle, typically driving a city vehicle.
This position is classified as a Manager 1, Property & Facility Management. It is a regular, full-time Classified Civil Service position and is FLSA exempt (not eligible for overtime). The salary range for this position is $51.88 - $77.82 per hour or $108,325 – $162,488 annually.
This position requires successfully passing a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check. Duties of this role may require access to secure City facilities, restricted operational areas, or information systems connected to public safety functions. CJIS clearance ensures that employees who work in or around these sensitive environments meet federal and local security standards. Candidates must complete fingerprinting and all required CJIS screening before hire.
