Job summary

You will ensure costs are tracked, billed, and reported in line with contracts and company policies, supporting project managers and operations with timely financial insights to improve profitability.

The role requires 3–5 years cost accounting experience in manufacturing or construction, GAAP knowledge, and ERP proficiency (Sage 300 or similar).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA/CMA preferred.
• 3–5 years cost accounting experience in manufacturing, construction, or production.
• GAAP knowledge.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Sage 300 or similar).
• Advanced Excel (pivot, lookups, modeling).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making.
• Strong business acumen with cost-control focus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain detailed project cost records including labor, materials, and overhead.
• Perform general ledger activities: journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close.
• Monitor job costing systems for accurate allocations.
• Prepare project financial reports and variance analyses.
• Support audits and compliance with internal controls.
• Assist with billing milestones and revenue recognition.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on cost reports.
