We are seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team in Shreveport, LA. In this role, you will complete installation, repair, and testing of fiber and its components, splice loose tube and ribbon fiber in compliance with modern standards, and connect and configure fiber optic networks for facilities while troubleshooting problems.

The Role

• Conduct daily field visits to ensure projects follow safety, quality control, and productivity standards
• Drive projects through systems for final development and budgeting
• Assist with defining labor and material needs, permitting requirements, infrastructure nodes, and plant connection points
• Locate services and understand city/county/state requirements and restrictions
• Define projects based on job definitions, network needs, and connection points
• Manage path planning review, including site pictures, node integration, and resource allocation
• Support Quality Control functions: onsite checks, hazard analysis, safety audits
• Participate in developing “Project Packets”
• Oversee project development for new proposals
• Manage multiple project stages, keeping systems and records updated
• Maintain network and asset knowledge, including aerial and underground assets and inventory
• Provide excellent customer experience daily
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Prior experience with aerial and underground construction and network operations
• Experience managing subcontractors is a plus
• Open to various schedules; evenings and/or weekends as needed
• Ability to travel daily; up to 50% travel with overnight stays
• Ability to read maps, drawings, and diagrams for project builds
• Excellent customer service, time management, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to learn and use software systems
• Effective communication with internal and external customers
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Work outdoors in tight spaces and at heights, involving bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and standing
• Valid driver’s license required; Class A CDL is a plus
• Pass pre-employment requirements: MVR, background check, drug screen
