Job summary

University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB is seeking a part-time, non-exempt staff member to coordinate parenting courses across CSUSB and community sites. The role includes scheduling, staff supervision, onboarding, and course setup. Travel throughout the Inland Empire may be required.

The position is 25 hours per week, evenings and weekends may be required, with a salary of $24.00 per hour and appointment through 6/30/2027, potentially renewable based on funds and performance.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field or enrolled in a master's program.
  • Experience in child/family interventions and project implementation.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage schedules, records, and multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work with families, school staff, and community partners.
  • Ability to supervise and support employees and student staff.
  • Basic computer skills including email, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Google Classroom.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Inland Empire.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate parenting courses with school districts and community sites.
  • Establish schedules and assign parent educators.
  • Support and supervise parent educators weekly.
  • Address staffing, scheduling, and classroom concerns.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and substitutes.
  • Manage course setup through TRST and required systems.
  • Oversee recruitment and enrollment for parenting classes.
  • Monitor participation, attendance, and course completion.
  • Review and approve staff timesheets.
  • Travel to attend classes, meetings, events.

University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary, Staff, Part Time, Non-Exempt, Benefited position through 6/30/2027 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).

Salary: $24.00 per hour.

Location: CSUSB Campus and various program sites in the Inland Empire.

Work Schedule

25 hours per week. Schedule will vary based on program needs. Evenings and weekends may be required.

Typical Activities
  • Coordinate parenting courses with school districts and community sites.
  • Establish class schedules and assign parent educators.
  • Assisting supervise, and providing weekly support to parent educators.
  • Address staffing, scheduling, and classroom-related concerns.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and identifying substitute instructors.
  • Manage course setup through TRST and other required systems.
  • Oversee recruitment and enrollment efforts for parenting classes.
  • Monitor program participation, attendance, and course completion.
  • Review and approve staff timesheets.
  • Coordinate food, supplies, and materials for in-person classes.
  • Oversee online courses, including Google Classroom and Zoom setup.
  • Support research activities, including data collection and analysis.
  • Supervise children's group leads and student interns.
  • Attend initial class sessions and remain available to address emergencies.
  • Ensure program records and class files are complete and accurate.
  • Travel throughout the Inland Empire to attend classes, meetings, outreach events, and other program activities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Master's degree in child development, early childhood education, clinical counseling, social work, school counseling, school psychology or a related field (or concurrent enrollment in a master's program).
  • Experience:
    • Experience in child/family interventions and project implementation.
  • Other:
    • Strong communication and organization skills.
    • Ability to manage schedules, records, and multiple tasks.
    • Ability to work with families, school staff, and community partners.
    • Ability to supervise and support employees and student staff.
    • Basic computer skills, including email, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Google Classroom.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to travel throughout the Inland Empire to attend classes, meetings, outreach events, and other program activities. Reliable transportation may berequired.

  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills are preferred.
