Fred Hutch's Philanthropy program raises funds for cancer and related disease research, care, and education to help Fred Hutch become the world's best cancer center. Job Summary

The Project Coordinator, Leadership Annual Giving is a member of the Gifts & Grants program and reports to the Program Director, Leadership Annual Giving. The Gifts & Grants program focuses on relationship-based fundraising to secure gifts ranging from $10,000 to $4.9 million from individuals including patient families, as well as corporate and foundation partners. The Project Coordinator, Leadership Annual Giving, coordinates operational and administrative activities in support of revenue and program goals, working internally across programs and with external partners to ensure best practices in fundraising and donor impact. The Project Coordinator, Leadership Annual Giving, collaborates on growing engagement and giving from mid-level donors using a broad array of strategies including donor giving clubs, events, customized solicitations and direct interaction with donors and prospective donors via phone, email, online, and in person. The Leadership Annual Giving team focuses on raising gifts of $10,000 to $100,000.

Some travel and weekend and evening work may be required.

This position is a hybrid role with a minimum two days per week at our South Lake Union campus.

Responsibilities
  • Engage in dynamic discovery work for unassigned donors giving $500 or more and identify prospective donors for further engagement with fundraising colleagues.
  • Support multi-channel outreach including solicitation, stewardship, and cultivation communications for mid-level donors.
  • Partner with the Gift Services team to ensure accurate and timely processing, acceptance, and acknowledgement of gifts, and troubleshoot issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Produce lists, track data related to donor activity, and code records in donor database.
  • Coordinate Philanthropy programmatic and administrative activities, ensuring all projects are completed according to established timelines and annual goals.
  • Develop donor-facing materials and departmental materials; support review, edit, and refinement of materials.
  • Carry-out complex assignments in support of revenue and expense expectations, including handling of gifts.
  • Serve as liaison in cross-team activities and in Center-wide events with donors, community, and/or outside organizations.
  • Attend meetings, monitor activities to ensure objectives have been met within designated time frame, and coordinate follow-up activities.
  • Coordinate cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities.
  • Track progress and prepare reports.
  • Assist in the analysis of revenue projections and program strategies.
  • Coordinate the submission of materials for leadership meetings and events, including writing and reviewing content.
  • Produce special and recurring reports.
  • Support operational excellence and ensure expenditures are in accordance with guidelines and regulations.
  • Serve as an individual contributor; this role does not have people, program, or fundraising responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three years post-master's or five years-post bachelor's project coordination experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building working relationships with external partners.
  • Proven ability to engage individuals on the phone and in person.
  • Experience working with complex data sets and ability to analyze, measure, and track data and key performance indicators.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly developed organizational and information management skills.
  • Strong attention to a high level of detail and quality of work.
  • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively within a complex organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with a CRM, Raiser's Edge/RENXT, or related fundraising software, and with Smartsheet and/or other project management software such as Asana or Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to handle and respect confidential and sensitive information.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $80,172 to $109,470, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
