Duties and Responsibilities
  • The Project Manager is responsible for and assists with implementing the Cities curriculum across the designated schools, supports recruitment of university student mentors and middle school student mentees, and serves as the primary point of contact for mentees, mentors, and facilitators, as well as the liaison between partner schools and community programs.
  • Supports facilitation and community engagement across partner schools.
  • Builds and nurtures connections between research and implementation teams.
  • Serves as primary school liaison at partner schools and builds systems of sustainability.
  • Supports development of presentations and papers as available.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by the Primary and Co-Investigator and Director of Family Services.
  • Supervises undergraduate student Fellows and interns on the project.
Minimum Education and Work Experience

Minimum of Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with experience.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • One year of experience in social work preferred.
  • Experience working with children preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with peers, school staff, and young adults.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines while maintaining a flexible schedule to accommodate the curriculum and part-time role.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.
  • Ability to initiate tasks as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to commute to designated schools.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
Computer Skills

Basic understanding of Word and Excel Microsoft programs and the ability to learn LUC and partner schools' communication platforms.
