Job Summary

Project Coordinator role supports Xcel’s capital stage‑gate process, collecting information, completing intake and stage‑gate documentation, and tracking project status.

Responsibilities

• Collect information from engineers, complete and update documentation, and submit materials.
• Track project progress through stage‑gate process and coordinate with stage‑gate and finance teams on scope changes.
• Proactively reach out to engineering and other departments to gather required inputs.
• Prepare status reports, presentations, and collaborative documents.
• Assist project manager with scheduling, communication, and cost management support.

Work Environment & Culture

Collaborative team‑oriented environment; works closely with engineering while independently coordinating with other teams.

Schedule

Standard business hours with flexibility. Most of the team works between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM. No overtime required.

Location

Onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) with remote days (Monday and Friday). Parking on Xcel property available.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project coordination or similar experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Experience with pre‑built Excel and documentation templates.
• Organizational and documentation tracking skills.
• Proactive communication and independent work ability.
• Follow‑up and auditing mindset; collaboration across teams.
• Utility or construction background preferred but not required.
• Utility or construction industry experience preferred; SAP exposure (limited lookups).
• Auditing or document consistency experience.
