Job summary

World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a Project Coordinator to support infrastructure-driven IT projects for Fortune 500 customers. You will track documentation, gather client information, and help oversee the full project lifecycle from initiation to final implementation.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in IT project coordination, strong MS Office and MS Project skills, and experience with multi-site deployments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of IT Project Coordination/Project Management experience required.
  • Experience supporting external customers in a professional services and/or managed services environment.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure technology projects and project management.
  • Experience working as an IT project coordinator or similar role.
  • Advanced Skills in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, SharePoint, Smartsheet and Outlook.
  • Experience with Multisite hardware deployments.
  • Experience with MS Project.
  • Experience with financial processes; ability to understand, analyze and create financial reports
  • Understanding of project management industry standard framework and the development life cycle.
  • Ability to work independently and aggressively track project timelines.
  • Experience with scheduling for planning, monitoring, and controlling project timelines.
  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate well with customers and co-workers (written, verbal, and presentation)

Responsibilities

  • Tracking and understanding documentation deliverables for multiple small IT projects.
  • Gather documentation from the customer.
  • Assist with or manage the oversight of all aspects of project life cycle to include initiation, planning, execution, controlling and closing; taking project through final implementation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate skill with Microsoft Excel.
  • Understand project scope, and objectives.
  • Coordinate activities/tasks across project team roles.
  • Follow best practices and ensure requirements are met and documented.
  • Document project risks, assumptions, and constraints and aid in mitigating actions.
  • Monitor status of risks to minimize impact.
  • Manage project Budgets and financial reporting.
  • Use tools to identify and quantify variances.
  • Document measurement criteria for success with PMs or Leads.
  • Assist in managing changes to scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Capture and resolve issues; document resolutions.
  • Lead or participate in project meetings and follow up on actions.
  • Provide status updates for portfolio reviews.
  • Coordinate various project/program tasks.

As a Project Coordinator, you will be working on exciting infrastructure driven projects for Fortune 500 customers across all verticals. Our global infrastructure planning and deployment services deliver thousands of projects each year. Responsibilities:

  • Tracking and understanding documentation deliverables for multiple small IT projects
  • Gather documentation from the customer
  • Assist with or manage the oversight of all aspects of project life cycle to include initiation, planning, execution, controlling and closing; taking project through final implementation
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal & external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated skill with Microsoft Excel
  • General understanding of project scope, and objectives
  • Basic understanding of project team roles and functions to effectively assist in coordinating activities/tasks
  • Follow best practices and ensure that requirements are met and documented
  • Document project risks, assumptions, and constraints and aid in implementing approved actions and workarounds designed to mitigate project risk events
  • Monitor status of all identified risks in order to minimize the impact of the risks on the project
  • Financial management of project budgets to ensure all budgets, forecasts and costs are measured, tracked and reported for project success
  • Use appropriate tools and techniques to identify and quantify variances
  • Document measurement criteria for success with the help of Project Managers or other Leads
  • Assist in managing changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs
  • Ensure that all issues are captured, resolved and that resolutions are documented and communicated
  • Actively participate and/or lead project meetings, and follow up on action items.
  • Provide input regularly for status reports including program portfolio reviews
  • Assume responsibility and coordination for a wide variety of project and/or program related tasks

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $51,600.00 to $64,500.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
