Colman Engineering, PLC is looking for a highly organized Project Coordinator to guide engineering projects. Responsibilities include scheduling, resource planning, and tracking project progress to ensure timely deliverables.
This role may be part-time or full-time, depending on experience and availability. Ideal candidates should have strong organizational and communication skills, with a preference for those experienced in project coordination.
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive Project Coordinator to help keep our site/civil and environmental engineering projects on track. This person will work closely with our engineers, project managers, clients, and internal leadership to understand project priorities, deadlines, staffing needs, and client expectations—and then help translate that information into clear schedules, task plans, and accountability.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing complex information, creating efficient systems, tracking moving parts, and helping technical teams deliver high-quality work on time. Prior experience in project coordination or project management is strongly preferred. Experience in engineering, architecture, construction, environmental consulting, or a related professional services field is a strong plus.
This role may be structured as either part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate’s experience, availability, and fit. The key requirement is consistent availability to stay on top of project priorities, deadlines, workload planning, and client needs.

This position involves a combination of office-based and field-based work. Candidates must be able to safely perform tasks in both environments as outlined below, with or without reasonable accommodation:
Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods while using a computer, mouse, and other office equipment. Requires the ability to view screens, read technical documents, and communicate clearly by phone, video call, and in person. Occasional bending, crouching, or reaching may be required to access files and equipment stored between floor and shoulder height.
Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods on uneven terrain and in varying site conditions, including construction zones, wooded areas, and open fields. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds equipment. Tasks may include kneeling, bending, or reaching to collect data or perform measurements. Work may be performed outdoors in a range of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
