Job summary

OHM Advisors in Columbus is seeking an Architecture Project Coordinator to support development of architectural designs and construction documents. You will work with Project Architects, Interior Designers, and a multidisciplinary team to translate design intent into coordinated drawings used for bidding and construction.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in architecture-related field required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial architecture firm.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed architectural drawings and plans for bidding and construction.
  • Assist Project Architects and Interior Designers in applying architectural methods.
  • Review and draft plans in line with project design requirements.
  • Coordinate construction documents with project team.
  • Handle project filing, organization, and documentation across phases.
  • Perform field measurements and documentation.
  • Prepare plan reviews submissions to local jurisdictions.
  • Deliver assigned tasks within schedules and deadlines.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

What You Will Contribute to OHM Advisors

As an Architecture Project Coordinator, you will support the development of architectural designs and construction documents for a variety of projects. Working alongside Project Architects, Interior Designers, and other members of our multidisciplinary team, you will help translate design intent into detailed, coordinated drawings used for bidding and construction.

In this role, you will build your knowledge of OHM Advisors' standards and procedures while gaining hands‑on experience throughout different phases of a project. You will contribute to the preparation of plans and details, field documentation, project organization, and coordination while continuing to develop your technical skills and understanding of the architectural design and construction process.

Your Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed architectural drawings and plans that communicate design intent and support bidding and construction.
  • Assist Project Architects and Interior Designers in applying principles, methods, and techniques of the architectural, engineering, design, and construction disciplines.
  • Review and draft plans and details in accordance with project design requirements and company standards.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of construction documents, including plans and details, alongside Project Architects and Interior Designers.
  • Assist with project filing, organization, and documentation throughout different phases of the project.
  • Perform detailed field measurements and documentation.
  • Prepare and submit applications for plan review to local jurisdictions.
  • Complete assigned project responsibilities within established schedules and deadlines.
  • Take initiative in moving assigned tasks and project responsibilities toward completion.
  • Learn and apply new design strategies, techniques, and industry practices.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a two-year associate degree in Drafting, Architectural Technology, or a related technical field, or a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial architecture firm.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong verbal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and an interest in architecture and the built environment.
  • Ability to take initiative while working effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Healthcare and/or multifamily project experience is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel locally for field measurements and project needs as required.
