Job summary

Hatzel & Buehler Inc is seeking a Project Coordinator to support estimators, project managers, and the project team in estimating, document review, and coordination of assigned projects.

This role focuses on on-time and on/under budget completions while maintaining company quality standards, with day-to-day tasks centered on document review, estimating, project organization, record-keeping, and information flow.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming RFP for required information and documentation to be included with proposal.
  • Review RFP specifications and communicate project requirements to Estimator.
  • Assist with take-offs and estimating using Accubid.
  • Coordinate all items between estimating, project management and field.
  • Prepare, manage, and track all project documents throughout the project life cycle until closeout.
  • Attend project meetings and create meeting minutes as needed.
  • Create and manage PlanGrid projects.
  • Utilize and maintain construction management systems used by Hatzel & Buehler and customers.
  • Assist with the preparation, log and manage updates of RFIs & Submittals.
  • Ensure all changes to specifications, jobs scope and drawings are documented and updated in Spectrum, Job Folders, and PlanGrid.
  • Print, Copy & Scan Drawings for Project Team.
  • Prepare Close-Out Documentation with collaboration from the Project Team.
  • Work with project management team to give exceptional customer service and liaise between our field, our vendors, and our customers.
  • Assist with development and implementation of forms, documents, processes, procedures, and construction management software, apps, and portals.

Job description

The Project Coordinator position will support and assist the Estimators, Project Managers, and Project Team with estimating, review of documents, and coordination of assigned projects. They will work with the Project Managers and along with the Project Admin to achieve on time and on or under budget completions while maintaining the established company quality standards. Day-to-day activities will primarily involve the implementation of document review, estimating, project organizing, record-keeping, and handling the information flow between the Estimators, Project Managers, Field & Customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review incoming RFP (Request for Pricing) for required information and documentation to be included with proposal.
  • Review RFP (Request for Pricing) Specifications and communicate with Estimator any project specific requirements.
  • Assist with take-offs and estimating using Accubid.
  • Coordinate all items between estimating, project management and field.
  • Prepare, manage, and track all the needed documents properly throughout the project life cycle until the project closeout.
  • Attend project meetings and create meeting minutes as needed.
  • Create and manage PlanGrid projects.
  • Utilize and maintain all construction management systems being used by H&B and customers.
  • Assist with the preparation, log and manage updates of RFI's (Requests for Information) & Submittals.
  • Ensure all changes to specifications, jobs scope and drawings are documented and updated in Spectrum, Job Folders, and Plangrid.
  • Print, Copy & Scan Drawings for Project Team as needed.
  • Prepare Close-Out Documentation with collaboration from the Project Team.
  • Work with project management team to give exceptional customer service and be a liason between our field, our vendors, and our customers.
  • Assist with development and implementation of forms, documents, processes, procedures, and construction management software, apps, and portals.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's Degree (preferred).
  • 2-4 years experience.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in the construction/electrical industry.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with management and field personnel and to work independently as needed.
  • Thorough understanding of project management procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills. Knowledge of Microsoft suite, Reve Bluebeam and Adobe preferred.
Work Environment

This job is fully in person, on site.

Salary

$60-95k DOE
