Job Title:Project Coordinator
Type: Contract
Compensation: $63 - $80 hourly
Contractor Work Model: Remote

System One is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the management of engineering design activities, coordination across multidisciplinary project teams, and facilitation of engineering work planning and staffing. This role involves daily/weekly interfacing with multiple engineering groups to coordinate tasks, develop and manage detailed technical schedules, forecast resource and execution needs, and support overall project execution. The Project Coordinator will also provide data-driven insights to project leadership to identify issues, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improved delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Project Managers by tracking progress, monitoring key metrics, and generating performance reports to ensure adherence to project standards.

  • Analyze project data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. Develop reports and presentations based on findings to support project decisions.

  • Manage updates to the master engineering schedule in coordination with project controls. Facilitate engineering change control processes as needed.

  • Break down high-level engineering deliverables into discrete activities and schedules for various design teams.

  • Monitor team assignments and resource availability. Generate bi-monthly forecasts and ensure alignment of staffing plans with schedule demands.

  • Develop and refine standard design task sequences for future phases and integrated procurement efforts.

  • Manage internal and external logic ties in schedules, establish milestones, and track schedule dependencies.

  • Gather status inputs from design teams and maintain up-to-date project reporting. Identify and escalate critical path or resource allocation issues to leadership.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or a related field from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant project coordination experience. Experience in engineering or nuclear-related industries is a plus.

  • Skilled in data collection, analysis, and reporting to drive project insights and actions.

  • Experience with Primavera P6 for schedule development and management.

  • Familiarity with project tracking tools such as Atlassian JIRA and Confluence preferred.

  • Strong understanding of schedule logic, task sequencing, milestone management, and resource forecasting.

  • PMP certification preferred.

  • Knowledge of NRC 10 CFR 50 licensing processes is beneficial but not required.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

  • Self-starter with ability to lead and coordinate across cross-functional teams with minimal supervision.

  • Capable of managing complex projects with multiple competing priorities.
