Job summary

Management Solutions is seeking a Project Controls Associate to support project planning, scheduling, and cost control across major initiatives in Knoxville. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience with scheduling.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining critical path schedules, collecting progress data, monitoring costs and resources, and performing variance analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of work experience.
• Analytical and numbers-focused.
• Experience with scheduling (P6 preferred).
• Organized, detail-oriented, proactive.
• Experience with Primavera (P6).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to pass a federal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and analyze integrated critical path schedules per project specs.
• Document planning objectives, scope, and milestones for scheduling processes.
• Collect and update project progress data from teams and stakeholders.
• Monitor schedule metrics, resources, and accruals; track progress and productivity.
• Generate time-phased cost and resource forecasts; validate cost data.
• Monitor expenditures against forecasts and project deliverables.
• Conduct financial variance, risk, and profit/loss analyses.
• Create non-routine financial reports and perform complex analyses.
• Assess cost and schedule impact of changes; raise early warnings.
