Job summary

Hargrove Engineers + Constructors is seeking a planning and scheduling professional to support heavy industrial engineering projects. The role focuses on forecasting construction activities, cost control, and estimating through close supervision.

Ideal candidates have up to 5 years of relevant experience and a background in construction science or related fields. A strong attention to detail and adherence to company standards are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Certification: No certification required for this position.
• Experience: Up to 5 years in planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating.

Responsibilities

• Develop schedules and analyses for contract packages to forecast construction activities.
• Identify coordination issues where safety and schedule may conflict.
• Monitor and update schedules via meetings, coordination interviews and field verification.
• Maintain the change notice/change order management system and facilitate hearings.
• Develop estimates for construction projects including change notices.
• Maintain cost system, reconcile commitments, change orders, invoices and cost reports.

What You'll Be DoingJob Scope: Generally responsible for planning and scheduling heavy industrial engineering projects, monitoring project costs and/or estimating projects. Work will be performed under close supervision.Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Developing schedules and analysis for contract packages to forecast construction activities and identify coordination issues where safety and schedule can potentially be in conflict.Monitoring and updating schedules by obtaining updates through meetings, construction coordination interviews and field verification.Monitoring and maintaining the change notice/change order management system. Assisting in facilitating weekly change notice hearings and change committee meetings.Developing estimates for construction projects including but not limited to estimates associated with change notices.Developing and maintaining the cost system including reconciling commitments, change orders, contractor invoices and producing cost reports.Ideal BackgroundEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
