Job Overview

We are seeking a new Project Controls Specialist to join our team at Ardmore Roderick. As a Project Controls Specialist, you will join a team of infrastructure solutions experts working to solve our client’s ever evolving project needs. This opportunity will be located onsite at our client location in Florida and requires a daily presence on the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development and critical path analysis
  • Provide integrated scheduling and cost estimating support for our client’s capital program
  • Provides support for scheduling and cost estimating, ensuring effective project planning and control through rigorous schedule maintenance and budget forecasting
  • Prepare conceptual, preliminary and detailed cost estimates, including quantity take-offs
  • Perform schedule updates, variance analysis and delay impact assessments to identify potential risks
  • Prepare project controls reports, dashboards and performance metrics for PMO leadership
  • Coordinate with project teams to align estimates and schedules with the operational constraints of an active business operation
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business or a related field
  • 5–10 years of experience in project controls, scheduling and cost estimating for construction or infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated experience on maritime or port projects
  • Proficiency in scheduling tools (ie, Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore) and cost management software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Have a team player mindset with the ability to communicate proficiently in written and verbal forms
  • Have great organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in risk analysis and evaluating the impacts of potential changes on cost and schedule
  • Familiarity with public‑sector capital program reporting
