Job description

Procon Consulting, a fast-growing professional services firm in McLean, VA, specializing in program and project management for design and construction, project controls, commissioning, construction-related technology, and facilities management, is seeking a Project Controls Specialist with expertise in Kahua or similar platforms.

Core Qualifications:

1. Minimum 2 years of practical experience in Project Control and Management Systems implementation on Capital Projects, specifically with Kahua or Procore.
2. At least 2 years of experience with Project Control and Management system work processes, including project governance, cost, contract, and schedule management, leading and managing workstreams within projects to oversee scope, timelines, and deliverables, and delegating and tracking activities to completion.
3. Minimum 2 years of experience in gathering, interpreting, and translating business and system requirements into industry-standard processes and system designs for Project Control and Management systems.
4. At least 2 years of experience in planning and leading System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing for Project Control and Management system implementations, along with developing and executing related content and training.
5. Consulting and/or field experience in engineering, project management, or project controls.
6. Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, construction, data analytics, or technology-related fields.
7. Experience in systems integration and data conversion activities as part of Project Control and Management systems implementation.
8. Proven ability to lead end-to-end planning and delivery of Project Control and Management systems implementations.
9. Experience in industries such as 5G/Telecommunications/Network design/buildout, Life Sciences, Renewables/Hydrogen, Utilities, Discrete Manufacturing, Public Sector, or Transportation.
10. Proficient in Project Controls software and tools including Microsoft Office, Oracle Primavera, Hexagon Ecosys PPM, E-Builder, Procore, Kahua, PowerBI, and Tableau.
11. Experience delivering digital experience projects within cross-functional teams.
