Marathon Petroleum in Carson, California is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to lead project controls for capital and expense programs ranging from $2M to $100M+. The role requires 5+ years in project controls within refining or petrochem, solid cost/schedule integration, and experience with Primavera P6.

Job Summary
The Los Angeles Refinery (LAR) is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support the delivery of capital and expense projects. The role entails leading and advancing Project Controls principles and techniques while supporting a portfolio of projects ranging from $2MM to $100MM plus.
The Project Controls Specialist will work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Supply Chain (Procurement), Construction and Accounting personnel to ensure projects are planned and effectively managed so that performance is continuously improved.
The available onsite schedules for the position are 9/80, 5/40 or 4/1, after hours calls are required once a month. Core Business hours are: 8 AM - 3 PM.
