Job summary

Hargrove & Associates Inc. in Angleton, TX is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to plan and schedule heavy industrial projects, monitor project costs, and assist in estimating efforts. The role is based in our Angleton office with supervision.

You will develop schedules for contract packages, track progress through meetings and field verification, and maintain the change notice system. A high level of attention to detail and adherence to company standards are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field preferred.
• Up to 5 years of experience in planning, scheduling, cost control and estimating.

Responsibilities

• Develop schedules and analysis for contract packages to forecast construction activities and identify coordination issues where safety and schedule can potentially be in conflict.
• Monitor and update schedules by obtaining updates through meetings, coordination interviews and field verification.
• Monitor and maintain the change notice/change order management system.
• Assist in facilitating weekly change notice hearings and change committee meetings.
• Develop estimates for construction projects including change notices.
• Develop and maintain the cost system including reconciling commitments, change orders, contractor invoices and cost reports.
