Job Overview:Primoris Heavy Civil is currently seeking for a Project Scheduler for our Houston Division to work both in the office and site environments. This role will concentrate on continued development of the Schedule and working closely with project team members, which may include project managers, superintendents, and estimators. His/her first responsibility is to ensure the implementation and effectiveness of the project schedule.JOB DUTIESIntegrate subcontractor schedule into Master Schedule.Perform periodic field site visits and review project progress information, including quantity-based progress and pay estimate reporting, to validate schedule status, maintain accurate percent complete reporting, and support schedule updates.Provide timely and accurate updating of project schedules.Resource loading and analysis of data into schedules as required – Primavera.Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with project staff.Assist in the development of bid and proposal schedules to support preconstruction and estimating efforts.Review plans, specifications, and available quantity information, and perform basic quantity takeoffs as needed to support schedule development and duration calculations.Development of Baseline Schedules.Manages the development of the overall CPM schedule and assures coordination with the Project Superintendent and the procurement schedule with the Project Engineer.Monitoring & maintaining the quality of schedule reflection files.Assist in weekly / monthly project schedule updates with the project team and Subcontractors.Assist in preparing schedule narratives, progress reports, milestone reports, and other supporting documentation for weekly and monthly schedule updates.Assist the project team in fragmenting the project schedule when required.Provides insight to the Project Manager concerning schedule updates as to critical path and near critical path activities, and other potential issues with the project schedule.Assist Project Managers in creating short-term schedules, monitor such schedules to determine impact on master schedule, and help in formulating actions to correct scheduling problems.Assist Project Managers in the development of delay claim impacts.Assist Project Managers in the development of recovery schedules.QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLSThree (3) to five (5) years of project scheduling experience.Three (3) to five (5) years of Heavy Civil Construction experience.Proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling.Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.Perform functions efficiently and accurately with little direct supervision.Experience in creating, managing and analyzing construction project schedules.Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work well within a deadline driven environment.Perform functions efficiently and accurately.Professional attitude and always conduct oneself in a positive manner.Must respect and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Must be able to perform in a fast paced, changing environment.Potential exposure to chemical substancesCompany Overview:Primoris Heavy Civil provides highway, port, airfield, rail and marine (intermodal transportation) construction services to private commercial and industrial clients as well as governmental entities such as the Department of Transportation and the US Army Corps of Engineers.
