Insight Global is seeking an experienced Project Controls Scheduler to support a major construction project in the Atlanta, GA area. The role requires hands-on scheduling leadership, strong knowledge of Primavera P6, and collaboration with project leadership, field operations, and subcontractors to drive the master schedule.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in construction scheduling and project controls, experience with $100M+ projects, and the ability to travel onsite approximately two weeks

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of construction scheduling and project controls experience.
  • Experience with large-scale capital construction projects ($100M+).
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 and change-order scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, update, and manage the master project schedule using Primavera P6.
  • Provide hands-on scheduling leadership for active construction activities.
  • Validate progress and schedule performance with project staff and field teams.
  • Develop, review, and analyze schedule logic, sequencing, and critical path.
  • Perform Time Impact Analyses (TIA) and support change orders.
  • Identify schedule risks and opportunities for recovery.
  • Review subcontractor schedules and integrate updates into the plan.
  • Support onsite meetings and field rotations with project teams.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Scheduler to support a large-scale, mission-critical construction project in the Atlanta, GA area. This individual will work closely with project leadership, field operations, subcontractors, and project controls teams to maintain and drive the overall project schedule throughout the construction lifecycle.

This role is highly visible and requires someone who can confidently manage schedules, challenge assumptions, defend schedule logic, and provide recommendations that support successful project execution. The ideal candidate has a strong background in large capital construction projects and is comfortable working directly with General Contractors and field teams.

This is a long-term opportunity supporting a major construction initiative with approximately 12-24 months of remaining project work.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Maintain, update, and manage the master project schedule using Primavera P6
  • Provide hands-on scheduling leadership for active construction activities
  • Work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and project controls teams to validate progress and schedule performance
  • Develop, review, and analyze schedule logic, sequencing, and critical path activities
  • Perform and support Time Impact Analyses (TIA)
  • Prepare schedule documentation to support change orders and claims activities
  • Identify schedule risks, delays, and opportunities for recovery
  • Challenge assumptions and defend schedule recommendations with project stakeholders
  • Review subcontractor schedules and integrate updates into the overall project plan
  • Support project execution and potential dispute-resolution efforts through schedule analysis
  • Participate in onsite project meetings and collaborate directly with field teams during onsite rotations

Skills and Requirements
  • 8+ years of construction scheduling and project controls experience
  • Strong experience with large-scale capital construction projects ($100M+)
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6
  • Experience supporting General Contractors and field construction teams
  • Hands-on experience performing Time Impact Analyses (TIA)
  • Experience developing and supporting change order schedule documentation
  • Strong understanding of scheduling methodology, schedule logic, and critical path analysis
  • Ability to confidently challenge assumptions and defend schedule recommendations - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel onsite approximately 2 weeks per month
  • Data center or mission-critical construction experience
  • Previous experience working directly for a General Contractor
  • Advanced delay analysis or forensic scheduling experience
