Job description

Overview

ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Project Controls Professional III will collaborate with project teams to develop detailed implementation schedules using P6, integrate cost estimates for resource-loaded projections, and analyze schedule deviations impacting cost and timelines. Responsibilities include evaluating real-time performance, recommending corrective actions, managing project data systems, and supporting continuous improvement through consistency reviews and lessons learned. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.

Pay rate: $76.02 - $106.17

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to gather data for accurate scheduling and cost identification.
  • Assist in developing project scope and support assigned project teams.
  • Prepare Level 1–5 detailed implementation schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Integrate cost estimates with schedules to produce logic-tied, resource-loaded cost flow projections.
  • Analyze schedule deviations and report activities impacting cost or timeline.
  • Generate reports comparing baseline and progress schedules, including critical path, resource/cost loading, and recovery plans.
  • Evaluate real-time cost and schedule performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support development of accurate Estimate to Completion (ETC) forecasts.
  • Manage project data entry and configuration control across databases.
  • Conduct consistency reviews and apply lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in project challenge/approval meetings and regular team check-ins.
  • Perform delegated tasks and maintain alignment with project procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, Finance, or related discipline and 6–10+ years of experience in project controls on large or complex projects.
  • OR AA degree and 12 years of experience in project controls on large or complex projects in Engineering, Construction, Finance, or related discipline
  • OR High School diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in project controls on large or complex projects in Engineering, Construction, Finance, or related discipline
  • Earned Value Management Certification via PMI (PMP, CCP, PBA, SP, CAPM, RMP or equivalent)
  • Experience in nuclear, renewable energy, or construction industries
  • Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6, Cost Management Systems, and Power BI
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle, CPM, and risk management
  • Proven ability to develop baselines, forecasts, and perform variance analysis
  • Skilled in Earned Value Management methodology and project controls
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of project reporting and cost analysis principles
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication; confident presenting to groups
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and self-motivated with strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to set priorities, manage interrelated activities, and work independently
  • Experience supporting large-scale projects ($25M+ budgets)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI, Asset Suite, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Workday
  • Exposure to process improvement and general accounting principles
