Job summary

KBH Industrial in Richland, Washington is seeking a Contract Project Controls Analyst to support the Nuclear Development project. You will develop schedules and cost estimates, monitor variances, and provide reporting and communications to management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with years of experience in project controls/PM in an industrial environment.
  • Formal training on Primavera P6 or another project management system.
  • Experience with budget to actual reporting and complex budgetary analysis.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules and cost estimates for Nuclear Development.
  • Coordinate, track, and execute project estimates and reports.
  • Provide technical direction and support to project managers and management on scope, schedules, and costs.
  • Monitor and report changes to schedule, scope, and cost to management in a timely manner.

Job Summary
  • This position supports the Nuclear Development project and team by providing Schedule and cost development, analysis, reporting and communications as part of the Nuclear Development organization and plays a critical role in project monitoring, risk identification and accurate costing.
  • Responsible for coordination, tracking, and execution project estimates.
  • Provide challenges, technical direction and assistance to project managers using the tools and processes for developing project scope, detailed project schedules, cost estimates, and perform detailed analysis and control activities.
  • Monitor and report all project schedule/scope/cost changes to project managers and New Nuclear management in a timely manner.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Assist with providing financial guidance and analytical support within the Budgets Department.
  • Responsibilities include budget to actual reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, reconciliations of contingency balances and project reporting, and other special projects as assigned (i.e., budgeting/monitoring for labor related costs and employee benefits, overhead allocations, etc.).
  • Requires working knowledge of both system-generated information and reporting (on-line journal entry, general ledger, Microsoft Power BI, budget inputs, etc.) as well as ad hoc reporting including complex budgetary analysis that identifies trends and explains variances.
  • Additional duties include supporting the annual budget cycle, month-end and year-end closing processes as well as assisting in the preparation and updating of budget policies and procedures including desk manuals and other training tools.
  • Analyst will need to apply knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles gained by education and experience.
  • Will need to understand Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) pronouncements.
  • This position interfaces with internal managers/supervisors as well as external agencies.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Working knowledge of professional project management principles
  • Knowledge of project reporting and cost analysis of project information

Required Education and Experience:
  • Level I Required Education and Experience:
    • Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and four years of experience in a project controls/project management position in an industrial environment;
    • OR an AA degree and 6 years of project controls / project management experience;
    • OR a High School diploma or GED and 8 years of project controls / project management experience in lieu of degree.
    • Formal training on Primavera P6 or another project management system is required.
  • Level II Required Education and Experience:
    • Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and five years of experience in a project controls/project management position in an industrial environment;
    • OR an AA degree and 7 years of project controls / project management experience;
    • OR a High School diploma or GED and 9 years of project controls / project management experience in lieu of degree.
    • Formal training on Primavera P6 or another project management system is required.
  • Level III Required Education and Experience:
    • Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and eight years of experience in a project controls/project management position in an industrial environment;
    • OR AA degree and nine years of project controls / project management experience;
    • OR High School diploma and GED and eleven years of project controls / project management experience in lieu of degree.
    • Formal training on Primavera P6 or another project management system is required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from

Level I PCP- BR $48.24 - 69.34/hour

Level II PCP- BR $60.30 - 85.99/hour

Level III PCP- BR $72.36 - 103.71/hour
