Ideal candidates have a minimum of 10 years in project controls, and the ability to work on-site in Texas, New Mexico, or North Dakota, with per diem options when on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the project controls team across cost, schedule, progress, change management and reporting.
• Develop weekly cost reports with projections and forecasts.
• Maintain project schedules and drive updates by the team.
• Maintain progress reporting and ensure timely updates.
• Manage change orders, budget shifts and contingency trends.
• Provide forward-looking analysis to mitigate cost impacts.
• Develop trending processes to support forecasting, scheduling and reporting accuracy.
• Review all project controls deliverables with the project team.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, progress tracking, payroll coding, data audits in project controls.
• Establish reporting and data analytics for management reporting.

General Information/Job Summary

The Project Controls Manager will oversee a project controls staff provide comprehensive cost control, schedule, progress, reporting and forecasts.

• Lead and develop project controls team to implement effective work processes covering all facets of cost, schedule, progress, change management and reporting.
• Develop and maintain cost reports (both internal & client) on a weekly basis including accurate and current projections and forecasts.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and implement work practice to actively engage project team in schedule updates and maintenance
• Develop and maintain engineering and construction progress reporting process and ensure timely and accurate updates.
• Development and maintenance of change management system including change orders, budget shifts, and trends including contingency management.
• Timely and accurate forward-looking analysis and mitigation plan development to reduce or eliminate unforeseen cost impacts.
• Develop and implement active trending processes to support forecasting, scheduling, and reporting accuracy
• Actively participate in reviews of all project controls deliverables with the project team.
• Manage project controls team to implement and keep current project budgeting, forecasting, progress tracking, payroll coding, data audits, and all other project controls work processes
• Establish comprehensive reporting and data analytics process for internal and external management level reporting

Requirements

• Min 10 years of experience in Project Controls.
• Ability to work on project sites in Texas, New Mexico or North Dakota. Position may rotate between office and on-site work as needed.
• Per Diem available if on site, and home address is over 50 miles from project site.
• Experience in Data Center construction / Power Generation Plants / Oil & Gas.
• Possess thorough working knowledge of scheduling and costing principles.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
