Job summary

PGH Wong Engineering, Inc. is seeking a seasoned construction cost and project controls professional to lead cost and schedule control procedures for diverse projects.

The role emphasizes developing accurate cost estimates at each design phase and managing change orders with strong client interface. You'll leverage Primavera and MS Office, maintain budgets, and prepare monthly reports, while ensuring conformance to change control procedures and forecasted costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in the construction industry.
• Experience with Primavera, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and cost estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Implement cost and schedule control procedures.
• Develop construction cost estimates at each design phase.
• Develop independent cost estimates for change orders.
• Analyze construction schedules for multiple contracts and delays.
• Ensure conformance to change control procedures and forecasted cost at completion.
• Participate in change order negotiations to support Construction Managers.
• Prepare monthly progress reports on cost, schedule, and QA activities.
• Interface with the client on project management and operator management sides.

Job description

PGH Wong was established in 1985 on its extraordinary foundation in systems engineering and is now a full-service engineering, architectural, construction management, and program/project management consulting firm for public and private entities across the nation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for implementing cost and schedule control procedures.
• Perform and manage the development of construction cost estimates at each design phase
• Manage the development of independent cost estimates for change orders.
• Perform and manage the analysis of construction schedules for numerous construction contracts and the impact of delays
• Review compliance and direct conformance to change control procedures, to ensure timely administration of change orders and accurate maintenance of forecasted cost at completion.
• Participate in change order negotiation meetings to support the Construction Managers as necessary.
• Gather data and develop monthly construction progress reports, providing information on construction progress, schedule status, cost/budget status, and quality assurance activities.
• Review compliance and direct conformance to the Contractor's Payment Application procedures.
• Maintain the project budget, consisting of construction costs, design costs, and soft costs.
• Create and maintain cash flows for funding and capital planning purposes.
• Prepare and present presentations on cost, schedule, and project risks.
• Interface with the client on the project management (construction management) side and the business (operator management) side.
• Implementedmany of the above tasks via Oracle Unifier, the Airport's consolidated project management and project controls system.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or another related field.
• Minimum 10 Years' experience in the construction industry.
• Experience in software packages, including Primavera, MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and cost estimating software.
• Experience with Oracle Unifier is a plus, but not required.
