Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a driven Project Controls Specialist Student with a basic understanding of Earned Value Management and Project Scheduling principles to gain immersive, real-world experience. Under direct supervision, you will support the project delivery team by developing cost and schedule baselines, collecting and analyzing monthly progress, and reporting these details to leads or management.

You will assist in implementing financial controls, procedures, systems, and forecasting

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Currently enrolled and taking courses towards a Masters degree.
• Basic understanding of Earned Value Management and Project Scheduling principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop basic cost and schedule baselines and monitor progress.
• Collect and analyze monthly cost and schedule data; identify variances.
• Prepare earned value reports and integrate forecasts.
• Support implementation of financial controls and forecasting techniques.
• Follow safety programs and maintain project documentation.
