Job Summary

Estimator II – responsible for developing and reviewing capital cost estimates, construction cost estimates, and service estimates across the Waste, Power, and Industrial sectors. Tasks include crew-based estimation, quantity takeoffs, data analysis, database management, and preparing basis and assumptions documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review capital cost estimates for infrastructure projects.
• Create construction and service estimates using a crew-based approach.
• Gather and analyze data, manage cost estimate database.
• Prepare basis and assumptions documentation in support of cost estimates.

Preferred Qualifications

• Preference given to local candidates.
• Certifications in AEP, CPE, CCT, CEP, PSP, EVP, PMI-SP, PMP, CCM, PRMP, EIT, or PE.
• Proficient in estimating software such as Sage, Assemble, RS Means.
• Knowledge of project scheduling and use of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6.
• Strong understanding of electrical equipment, materials, and construction methodologies.
• Ability to develop and interpret construction schedules.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years producing estimates in a competitive environment and assessing cost risks based on contract terms.
• Knowledge of EPC estimating methods, processes, and procedures.
• Experience with Lump Sum Design Build estimates and detailed design packages.
• Knowledge of market pricing sources in the specialization area.
• Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structures required for cost management.
• Proficient with Primavera and Timberline.
• Commitment to participation in an employee‑owned culture.
