Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Senior Project Controls Engineer/Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for insert key job role summary here.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Reporting on cost control, budget management, data management, change orders, and financial reporting using Parsons’ project controls systems. Facilitating the development of the work breakdown structure (WBS).
• Performing detailed analysis and validation of project cost data to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinating with Project Managers, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, and Billing departments to ensure timely and accurate budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow reports.
• Managing contracts, invoicing, and payment reporting with subconsultants and vendors.
• Creating presentations, reports, dashboards, and procedures tailored to project requirements related to budgets, estimates, costs, and schedules.
• Developing metrics and reports to provide management and stakeholders with accurate, timely information.
• Reviewing project budgets and scope changes for proper justification and documentation.
• Addressing project-specific budget, scope, schedule, funding, or documentation issues collaboratively.
• Implementing best practices and developing project controls tools and procedures.
• Proficient in MS Excel and Power BI.
• Applying engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and concepts.
• Implementing and maintaining an Earned Value Management System.
• Analyzing cost and schedule performance indicators (CPI and SPI).
• Preparing project forecasts and status updates.
• Providing corrective action recommendations to management.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field, with 5+ years of experience.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in project cost controls, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Knowledge of accounting principles such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Billing.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Power BI.
