Job summary

Jacobs in Washington, DC is seeking an onsite Project Controls Engineer to support document control and web-based collaboration during design and construction on significant projects in the Nation’s Capital.

You’ll assist the Jacobs and client Project Manager with submittals, RFIs, change orders, contractor payments, and records management in the PMIS. You’ll help monitor trends, maintain as-built drawings, and ensure accurate, accessible project documentation throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction/Project Management. Waived for 10 years in the field of construction administration.
• 1-2 years of construction support experience

Responsibilities

• Receipt and distribution of Submittals, RFIs, and Potential Change Orders.
• Utilizing the client’s PMIS to assess, process, and maintain records for contracts
• Processing of approved contractor payment requisitions
• Drafting recommended responses and actions for RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch-lists, etc.
• Analyzing construction trends, monitor deliverables, and provide overall administrative management.
• Maintaining as-built drawings and conformed documents; and
• Administer badging procedures for staff

This individual will assist the Jacobs and client Project Manager in matters related to document control and web-based collaboration during design and construction of one or more projects. Proficiency using a commercial Project Management Information System (PMIS) is important, and specific tasks may include:

The base salary range for this position is $80,000.00 to $90,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
