Job Description

WSP is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to join our Project Controls team. This position can be based at our offices in either Los Angeles or San Francisco.

Responsibilities
  • Providing and/or overseeing critical path method scheduling (via Primavera) to support client’s Program including design and construction rail transit projects.
  • Review periodic CPM updates, provide Primavera schedule comparison reports and detailed reviews.
  • Perform data gathering, qualitative and quantitative analysis with independence.
  • Coordinate with project teams to assess reporting and identify potential delays and create accurate forecasts.
  • Interact with clients under general direction and attend client meetings.
  • Assist in report writing and visual representations of data.
  • Demonstrate commitment to keeping up-to-date with current practices.
  • Learn and grow to produce high‑quality business support and professional deliverables on projects and proposals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 1‑3 years of experience in developing and managing project schedules.
  • Experience with critical path method analysis/technique with Primavera.
  • Provide input and comments to the department of project controls including review, validate and analyze contractors’ schedule for compliance including baseline and monthly updates (elements such as completeness, logic, durations, activity, flow, milestone dates, concurrency, resource allotment and delays will be reviewed).
  • Verify the schedule conforms to contract requirements and industry best practices. Provide written review of the schedule identifying significant omissions, improbable or unreasonable durations, errors in logic and any other schedule concerns.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional teams.
  • Effective reporting and communication skills.
  • Experience in preparing project reports and documentation.
  • Team player with strong communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits

Expected Salary: $81,500 – 115,100
