Darwin Recruitment represents a client seeking an experienced Project Controls Engineer for a large-scale data centre construction project in the USA. The role focuses on project controls, scheduling, progress monitoring and change management on a multi-building site.

You will develop and maintain the project programme, monitor progress and prepare schedule reports, while supporting invoicing and assessing changes and their impact on the programme.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on proficiency with Primavera P6.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction planning, scheduling methodologies and CPM principles.
  • Experience developing and updating construction programmes with project teams and subcontractors.
  • Ability to analyse schedule updates, progress, variances, delays, changes, logic, durations and constraints.
  • Experience monitoring engineering, preconstruction, procurement and construction activities and incorporating progress into schedules.
  • Experience supporting project invoicing through schedule and progress reporting.
  • Experience identifying, tracking and documenting potential changes and assessing impact on programme.
  • Experience developing schedule frag nets and Time Impact Analyses (TIA).
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and schedule performance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, subcontractors, clients and wider project team.

Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Controls Engineer to join its Project Controls team, supporting a large-scale mission critical/data centre construction project. The role focuses on project controls, Primavera P6, construction scheduling, progress monitoring, schedule reporting, change management, delay analysis and time impact assessment.

Support the project controls and delivery of a large, multi-building data centre/mission critical construction project. The role will develop and maintain the project programme in coordination with the project team and subcontractors, establish and monitor schedule activities, track engineering, procurement and construction progress, analyse schedule performance and variances, prepare periodic and monthly schedule reports, support project invoicing, manage potential changes and assess their impact on the programme.

Key skills and Experience required

  • Strong hands-on proficiency with Primavera P6
  • Advanced knowledge of construction planning, scheduling methodologies and Critical Path Method (CPM) principles
  • Experience developing, maintaining and updating construction programmes in collaboration with project teams and subcontractors
