Job summary

Aquatech International LLC is seeking a full-time Project Engineer to join our Houston, TX or Canonsburg, PA offices. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, reporting to the Project Manager as an Exempt employee.

The ideal candidate will have strong math, problem-solving, teamwork, and attention to detail, with some project-related experience. Responsibilities include coordinating design, preparing documents, tracking progress in SAP, using AutoCAD Plant 3D, and traveling

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• 0-2 years in a project-related industry preferred.
• Water/wastewater infrastructure experience is a plus.
• Strong math, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications and prepare docs.
• Lead project design coordination with internal/external teams.
• Coordinate engineering document submissions to customers & vendors.
• Support progress reporting and schedule updates.
• Maintain the project master document list and packing/shipment docs.
• Coordinate responses to RFIs and field queries.

The hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Project Engineer will report to the Project Manager and will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.The ideal candidate will have excellent math skills, applied creativity, mechanical skills, problem-solving skills, team-oriented, customer service driven, and attention to detail. This candidate will also have some experience in a project-related industry.Job DescriptionReview of Project specificationsPreparation of Project documentsMaintain the Project Master document list.Lead project design coordination with internal engineering departments, external engineering agencies, and Site Contractors.Coordinate engineering document submissions to customers & vendors.Facilitate timely engineering reviews of vendor quotes.Review vendor quotes and purchase requisitions for compliance with project specifications.Responsible for accurately reporting engineering progress into the project schedule.Coordinate collection of necessary inputs to 3D model and resolution of issue tags.Provide status, control, and progress reporting support services on projects.Prepare project schedules per project requirement.Verify the project progress & prepare the monthly progress report.Vendor follow-up & expeditingPeriodic vendor visits to monitor the progress.Attend Customer meetings as required.Support correspondence with customers via the Project manager.Internal communication with all departments & AIC Assembly shop.Track material status in SAP & update project statusPreparation of packing slips & related shipment documentationSite visits during the construction phaseCoordinate engineering responses to RFI from subcontractorsExpedite critical engineering solutions during the construction phase.Ensure design changes are properly communicated to the project team and incorporated into the 3D model.Oversee as-built documentation for the project.Work autonomously without constant guidance10% International and Domestic travel will be required.Skill Requirements:Able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.Time management and organizational skills.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD engineering drawings and P&IDs.Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude.Ability to work with multiple disciplined projects.Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks or projects with attention to detail.Ability to use MS Office software at a high level of proficiency.Ability to use SAP.Ability to use Primavera P6 preferred.Experience using AutoCAD 2D and Plant 3D preferred.Benefits:Aquatech offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, company-paid holidays, and a 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility).Essential Functions:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
