Job summary

Aquatech is seeking a full-time Project Engineer to join our Canonsburg, PA office. The role reports to the Project Manager and requires working Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with up to 10% travel.

The successful candidate will review project specifications, prepare documents, coordinate design with internal and external teams, and track progress using SAP and Primavera P6. A BS in engineering and 5+ years of project-related experience are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
  • Five or more years of experience in a project-related industry.
  • Experience with water/wastewater infrastructure projects is a plus.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
  • Ability to read AutoCAD drawings and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

  • Review project specifications.
  • Prepare project documents.
  • Maintain the Project Master document list.
  • Lead project design coordination with internal engineering departments, external engineering agencies, and site contractors.
  • Coordinate engineering document submissions to customers and vendors.
  • Facilitate timely engineering reviews of vendor quotes.
  • Review vendor quotes and purchase requisitions for compliance with project specifications.
  • Report engineering progress into the project schedule.
  • Coordinate collection of inputs to 3D model and resolve issue tags.
  • Provide status, control, and progress reporting support on projects.
  • Prepare project schedules per project requirements.
  • Verify project progress and prepare monthly progress reports.
  • Vendor follow-up and expediting.
  • Periodic vendor visits to monitor progress.
  • Attend customer meetings as required.
  • Support correspondence with customers via the Project Manager.
  • Internal communication with all departments and AIC Assembly shop.
  • Track material status in SAP and update project status.
  • Prepare packing slips and related shipment documentation.
  • Site visits during the construction phase.
  • Coordinate engineering responses to RFIs from subcontractors.
  • Expedite critical engineering solutions during construction.
  • Ensure design changes are communicated to the project team and incorporated into the 3D model.
  • Oversee as-built documentation for the project.
  • Work autonomously without constant guidance.
  • Travel up to 10% International and Domestic.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail
  • Proficiency with MS Office; experience with SAP; Primavera P6 preferred; AutoCAD 2D and Plant 3D preferred
