Job summary

Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) seeks a Project Controls professional in Project & Program Management to plan, monitor and manage internal projects from initiation through completion. The role manages programs with multiple projects, securing resources, budgets, risks, and changes, and ensuring on-time delivery within budget.

A Bachelor’s or higher degree with experience and the ability to obtain DoE Q clearance is required; Cobra and Earned Value expertise are highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field plus at least five years of experience (YOE) in a relevant role, OR Master's degree in relevant field plus at least two years of experience (YOE), OR Doctoral degree in relevant field.
  • Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered
  • Ability to obtain DoE Q level security clearance

Project management personnel plan, monitor and manage internal projects from initiation through completion. Program management personnel manage programs responsible for the execution of multiple projects or sub-projects. They secure required resources and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes. They manage projects to ensure on-time completion according to specifications and within budgeted costs.

Project Controls supports projects and programs with cost/schedule management and data analysis. Project Controls personnel provide the data needed to make informed decisions on program/project execution. Cost/schedule management includes baseline development/management, performance reporting, variance analysis and Baseline Change Control. Project Controls personnel integrate cost, schedule, technical scope and risk to assess progress against a baseline, use that information to identify problems and forecast cost and schedule at completion. These cost/schedule management tasks are performed in compliance with DOE Orders and government cost control guidelines. Project Controls personnel utilize various programs to perform their duties including P6, COBRA and Excel.

Security Clearance Information
