Description:
PCS-2: Cost and Scheduling
* Full-time, hybrid role, 3 days/week in the office, with Tuesdays and Thursdays mandatory.
* Location: Candidates must be currently local to Raleigh; relocation candidates are not considered.
* Proficiency in P6 and Excel is required, with at least a couple of years of experience in P6.
The Project Controls Specialist II (PCS-II) is responsible for routine project control assignments, including estimating, scheduling, change analysis, and cost control. PCS-II supports 1 to 2 project managers on various projects, following the Project Management Center of Excellence (PMCoE) criteria. The role requires advanced knowledge of project controls principles and software tools, demonstrated through extensive experience or higher education.
Key responsibilities include:
- Generating periodic project controls analytics and reports.
- Performing change control activities, tracking, trending, and initiating actions for scope, schedule, and cost changes.
- Leading benchmarking and self-assessment initiatives to improve project controls processes.
- Assisting project managers with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), schedules, cost estimates, and variance analysis.
- Collaborating with estimators to develop project cost estimates and manage them according to standards.
- Maintaining effective communication and relationships with team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications include proficiency in project controls methodologies, software tools, and a strong understanding of project management principles.
