Job summary

KBR's Newark, DE office seeks an Associate, Project Controls to support cost and scheduling on engineering and hydrocarbons projects. You will work under supervision, recording costs, tracking milestones, and contributing to project forecasts and cash flow.

The role requires a recent degree in Engineering, Finance or Business and strong Excel skills. You will collaborate with procurement, engineering, and management to keep projects on track and within budget.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate from an accredited college or university with a preferred bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Finance or Business.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to function within a project team.
• Must be able to self‑lead and communicate to all levels of project team, including management and clients.

Responsibilities

• Actively participates in recording actual and committed cost and workhours, development of project variances, trending and analysis of commitments and expenditures and development of the project forecast and cash flow.
• Actively participates in the administration of the change control process.
• Actively participates in development and completion of job progress milestones through scheduling.
• Actively participates in coordination with procurement and material managers as well as engineering work group leads pertaining to essential items of supply.
• Actively participates in identification of priorities for projects to guarantee completion.
• Complete assigned tasks with consideration of the budgeted work hours and schedule commitments.
