Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti North America Inc. is offering a 12-week Project Controls Analyst Intern role in Las Vegas, NV. You will own a core technical project, track field operations, and manage schedules and budgets with direct exposure to leadership.

Ideal candidates are rising seniors or final-year master's students in Finance, Business Admin, Civil Engineering, or related fields, with strong MS Office, PMI/AACE knowledge, and a drive to learn and contribute within a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of open-pit or underground mining methods and operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Knowledge of PMI and AACE International standards and best practices.
• Preferred experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project, SAP and Power BI.
• Strong technical writing, reporting, and presentation skills.
• Ability to analyze datasets, draw logical conclusions, and present findings clearly.
• Collaborative mindset with eagerness to learn and proactively ask questions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, review, and control daily on-site work progress against safety and quality standards.

About The Role

The Project Controls Analyst Intern will support the Project Controls team to ensure continuous tracking and control of schedules and budgets across all Nevada Projects.

This is a project-based internship. Rather than generalized administrative tasks, you will be assigned a core technical project to own from start to finish. This role offers hands-on experience, culminating in an end-of-program presentation to technical leadership.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a rising senior in an Undergraduate program or final-year Master's student pursuing a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Ci Engineering, or a related process discipline.
• Foundational understanding of open-pit or underground mining methods and operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, andVisio.
• Knowledge of PMI and AACE International standards and best practices.
• Preferred experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project, SAP and Power BI.
• Strong technical writing, reporting, and presentation skills.
• Ability to analyze datasets, draw logical conclusions, and present findings clearly.
• A collaborative mindset with an eagerness to learn and proactively ask questions.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license required; willingness to travel to project sites if necessary

Fall Recruitment Timeline & Hiring Milestones

September 15 - October 30, 2026 (Application Review): Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Early submission is highly encouraged.

Successful applicants will move to a virtual interview with the internship program manager.

October 12 - November 6, 2026 (Final Rounds): Finalists are invited to a virtual hiring manager interview.

November 16 - 20, 2026 (Offers Extended): Final hiring decisions and official offer letters will be extended before the winter university break.
