Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Project Controls Integration Analyst to support the Transportation division. This on-site role in North Phoenix, AZ involves tracking costs, schedules, and performance indicators while leveraging Tableau and Power BI for reporting.

You’ll work with lnEight, P6, MS Project, and MS Access, building databases and ensuring data accuracy across multiple regions. A related degree and hands-on controls experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of hands-on experience in construction project controls or cost analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Certifications like Primavera P6 Professional Project Management and Tableau Essential Training are a plus but not required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with lnEight, P6, MS Project, MS Access, and all MS Office programs.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (C, C++, Java, Perl, Raspberry Pi), web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js), databases (MySQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL), data visualization (Tableau, Power BI), and AL applications.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project teams to verify accuracy of quantities, takeoffs, and project costs.
  • Develop and maintain databases for tracking ongoing construction projects; interface with data entry databases.
  • Review monthly billing and payments data for accuracy and consistency across reports.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance project efficiency.
  • Create reports on EAC and other evaluations using Tableau and Power BI.
  • Assist in building and updating schedules, ensuring cost-loading and coordination with lnEight and ERP systems.
  • Provide technical assistance with lnEight, P6, MS Project, MS Access, and MS Office programs.

Job Summary

The Project Controls Integration Analyst will support the Transportation division by ensuring the smooth flow of project operations, tracking costs, schedules, and performance indicators. This role requires a mix of technical skills in programming, data visualization, and construction project controls to contribute to the overall success of projects across four regions.

Location

This position is on site in North Phoenix, AZ.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project teams to verify the accuracy and completeness of quantities, takeoffs, and project costs.
  • Develop and maintain databases for tracking ongoing construction projects and interface with databases for data entry purposes.
  • Review monthly billing and payments data to ensure accuracy and consistency across all reports.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance project efficiency.
  • Create reports on Estimate at Completion (EAC) and other project evaluations using data visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.
  • Assist in building and updating schedules as needed, ensuring they are properly cost‑loaded and coordinated with lnEight and the ERP system.
  • Provide technical assistance in using tools like lnEight, P6, MS Project, MS Access, and all MS Office programs.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • 1+ year of hands‑on experience in construction project controls or cost analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as Primavera P6 Professional Project Management, Tableau Essential Training, and Data Visualization: Storytelling are a plus but not required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with lnEight, P6, MS Project, MS Access, and all MS Office programs.

Physical Requirements
  • May stoop, kneel, or bend occasionally.
  • Must comply with all safety standards and procedures.
  • Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects frequently.
  • Will interact with people and technology frequently during a shift/work day.
  • Will lift, push, or pull objects up to 501 lbs on an occasional basis.
  • Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day.
  • Will use telephone, computer system, email, and other electronic devices frequently to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors.
